About me:

My name is Eric Mirlis and after being involved in sports in New York since 1991, I have decided to return to my
roots and immerse myself in the world of PR and especially Social Media. After graduating from New
York University, I landed in the PR Department of the New York Islanders, where I worked for five years. From
there, I moved to a seven year tenure in the Basketball Operations Department of the NBA, and then a five-plus
year stint with CSTV/CBS College Sports/CBS Interactive, first as an Editor and Senior Editor of CSTV.com, then
a two and a half year run as Managing Editor of NCAA.com.

In addition to my fulltime positions, I had my first book,
"Being There", published by Lyons Press in 2007. In
"Being There", 100 sports broadcasters and writers (and a couple of famous non-sports professionals) each
discussed the Top 5 Sports Moments they had the chance to see in person. I also have been a statistician for
hundreds of sporting event broadcasts, both television and radio and for almost every major network, and am a regular contributor
on Montreal's Team 990 morning show.

My experiences have taken me to six NBA All-Star Games, seven NBA Pre-Draft Camps, a Final Four, an NHL All-Star Game, a
Stanley Cup Finals, three NHL Drafts and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
